Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 19, 2026
Who is responsible for your information
Mile “I” Shipping controls the personal information used to provide its shipping services. Privacy questions and data requests may be sent to mile.i.shipping@gmail.com, (876) 323-5256, or Shop 1, 32 Federal Road, Spanish Town, Jamaica.
Information we collect
- Name, contact details, address, customer code and account information.
- TRN and identity information where required for account, customs, billing or package-release verification.
- Tracking numbers, item descriptions, declared values, invoices and package records.
- Payment status and references; we do not ask customers to send full card details or CVV codes through ordinary messages.
- Authorized pickup-person details, delivery information, support messages and claims evidence.
- Login, device, security, consent and audit records needed to protect the service.
Why we use it
We use information to create accounts, issue customer codes, process and track packages, support customs requirements, prepare invoices, verify payments and collectors, arrange delivery, send operational notices, prevent fraud, respond to support or claims, and meet legal, tax, security and insurance obligations.
Who may receive it
Information may be shared only as reasonably required with warehouses, freight carriers, customs brokers or authorities, delivery providers, payment providers, hosting and communications providers, insurers, accountants, attorneys and regulators. Some service providers may process information outside Jamaica; appropriate service and security arrangements should be maintained.
TRN protection
TRNs are restricted information. They should be masked in ordinary portal views, excluded from public URLs and routine notifications, and available only to authorized personnel who need them for an approved purpose.
Security and retention
We use access controls, individual staff accounts, secure connections, private file storage, activity records, backups and monitoring appropriate to the service. Information is retained only as long as reasonably required for operations, customs, accounting, tax, claims, fraud prevention, security, insurance, disputes or law, then deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to or correction of your information and make other applicable data-protection requests. We may verify your identity first. An account-deletion request does not automatically erase open package, payment, customs, claim, audit or legally required records.
Security incidents
We will investigate and document personal-data incidents and make applicable notifications. Jamaica’s Office of the Information Commissioner states that qualifying breaches or contraventions must be reported within 72 hours after the data controller becomes aware.
Website storage and updates
The site may use essential browser storage for authentication, security and preferences. Any future non-essential analytics or advertising technology must be disclosed and handled through an appropriate preference process. Material policy changes will be dated and communicated through the website or portal.
